Information Available

Students will be divided into groups while abroad, putting their minds together to create an analysis of the cultures and towns they visit. This allows for group travelling, group thinking, and to make connections with your team while in a foreign setting.

Students are to travel and experience life in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. The exposure to these countries is to help students be immersed with many cultures, and explore the topics of society culture, identity, social structures, ethnicity, and gender. This trip serves to see the difference in culture and communities, with guide by UCCS faculty along the way. Some of the plans for students include...
  • Tour Lisbon's Alfama District
  • Visit University of Lisbon and Engage in a Panel Discussion
  • Visit Alhambra
  • Tour the University of Seville and gather insight from a guest lecturer.
  • Explore the city of Madrid.
  • And More!
Students will receive SOCI4050 credit upon this course and a completed satisfactory group project.
